This website is run by a very small but dedicated group of individuals, whose commitment to Creative Commons has no bounds. Our purpose is to create an easy to use repository of Creative Commons licensed images (or Public Domain), and promote awareness for those artists who release their artwork under the Creative Commons license.
There are several artwork websites out there which combine copyrighted work along with other licensed work (such as flickr and Deviantart), but there are not many who feature ONLY Creative Commons or Public Domain artwork. We wish to provide a "one stop shop" of artwork, whether drawings, paintings or photography, that is easy to use, easy to license from the artist (for commercial purposes or otherwise), and which promotes the well being of the artists who so kindly release their work under the Creative Commons license.
All artwork on this website is displayed with permission from the original artists, and is clearly marked as to which license it is released under as well as who the original artist is. None of the artwork displayed on this site is the property of www.ccpics.com, except for the web interface graphics (with the exception of the navigation tabs, which are from www.exploding-boy.com). If you wish to use an artist's artwork, as specified by the license it is released under, attribution belongs to that particular artist and NOT www.ccpics.com.
If you are an artist, and you wish your artwork to be displayed here, email us at info@ccpics.com with "IMAGES" in the subject line. Only Creative Commons or Public Domain artwork is eligible, and you MUST be the original artist (no exceptions).
